Caption - Long time friends Joe Dempsky and Hawk Sims in 1963-64 and during a recent reunion. Both served on the ship when Frank Knox was part of the Concord Squadron. The Concord Squadron tour went to Iran before the Iranian Revolution. Following that stop the Squadron was ordered to the Singapore Straits to reopen the Straits after the head of the Indonesian Government had orders the straits closed to US shipping.
