2014 New Orleans
Our 2014 reunion took place Wednesday, September 17, 2014 through Sunday September 21, 2014 at the HOLIDAY INN DOWNTOWN-SUPERDOME in New Orleans. The Ship of the Year crew who attended were presented with a special coin minted to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Award and a reprint of the original article from Our Navy magazine. Both items are available in the Ship's Store.

John Brenke, Director of Strategic Planning for Huntington-Ingalls gave a terrific presentation about modern ship-building techniques and challenges compared to the construction of the Frank Knox in 1944. Entertaining and highly informative his presentation kept the audience spellbound throughout and during the question and answer period that followed.
